Designed by Italian architects in 1930, it was considered as one of Tirana symbols. It was build by Gjon Laca, the famous Tailor and Kaceli brothers, a well known family in Tirana. The building has seen better days, but resisted to different system changes. Now it remains as a unique building of that period, strongly protected by the owners. Other Buildings of that period are demolished to open space for new sky towers. Information for people who have difficulty climbing the stairs. Loft 1 is on the 4th floor, Loft 2 is on the 3rd floor. There is no elevator in the building.
The Loft was reconstucted eight years back, focusing on protecting all wooden bins and columns as you see on photos. The decoration is simple and practical with everything guests might need. We couldn't resist adding some old furniture from different periods there.
The property is right in the center of Tirana very close to the Skanderbeg square. Within 100m there are: Airport bus station, National History Museum, Et'hem Bej Mosque, National Arts Gallery, Bunk'Art2, House of Leaves, National Albanian Library and Adrion Bookstore. Italian style caffe 'Plaz'Oro' is on the building ground floor. Nice coffee shops, restaurants and Toptani shopping center are very close. 'Rossman & Lala' and 'Big Market' are only 200m away
