Located in the village of Thethi, family-run Villa Gjecaj is set within Thethi National Park, famous for its natural beauty. This complex which includes a traditional stone house and a newly constructed building. There is an outdoor kitchen with a traditional oven and barbecue facilities in the spacious lush garden with table and chairs. WiFi is provided in common areas and free of charge. Renovated in 2016, the rooms at Gjecaj Villa are simply furnished and fitted with hardwood floors and wooden furniture. The private private bathrooms are fitted with a shower. Some rooms feature a balcony and views of the valley. The on-site restaurant specializes in Mediterranean and traditional dishes made from the local produce which are available for lunch and dinner, while laundry and ironing service are available upon request and for an additional cost. Breakfast is included in the room rate. There is a church and some other historic sites, as well as a rich natural beauty that can be enjoyed in the near vicinity. Thethi, Valbona and Vermoshi offer hiking opportunities, while the Waterfall of Thethi, 2.2 mi away, is locally famous for being the most beautiful site in the Albanian Alps. Shuttle services are available upon previous request and at a surcharge. The city of Shkodër is 45 mi away and features restaurants, bars and markets. Podgorica Airport is 60 mi away, while Tirana Airport can be reached in 106 mi.

Villa Gjeçaj is a gem located in the heart of Thethi valley and National Park, famous for its beauty; only 250 meters from the village center. Villa Gjecaj is inspired by traditions, by the picturesque scenery around Thethi National Park and it is animated by the spirit of innovation and cordiality. Amongst the peace and tranquility of the surroundings, the fresh air, and pristine beauty where nature reveals its stunning elegance, you have the chance to enjoy a traditional kitchen with homemade food and comfortable rooms to embrace yourself. Villa is a newly constructed accommodation from 2014 and reconstructed lately, a chalet-style, with five contemporary furnished rooms. Most rooms feature a balcony with a valley view. Double and junior suite rooms suitable for couples or small families with modern farmhouse decor. Each of Villa Gjeçaj unique rooms is a tribute to the nature and cultural heritage of the area itself. The rooms feature plenty of natural materials and wood, as well as breathtaking views of the valley, of the nearby river and mountains, and with the river’s sound in the background. The breakfast and dinning area is at an open space with tables in the garden.
Your host at Villa Gjecaj will be from a young family, Petrit's family, from Aida and the daughters. They both have a clear vision for the future of tourism in Theth and especially of the growth of their agribusiness. They are innovative and flexible. They show great hospitality and are helpful in every moment. Communication is the strongest skill they have. Petrit & Aida are raising three beautiful daughters together and they hope to grow more. You will feel the Albanian welcome in a family-friendly environment with small children around, the smile and availability of Aida at any time for anything you must need to be solved during your stay at his guesthouse. You can feel free to ask for transport arrangements, mules or horses to carry your luggage, local transfer to Blue Eye or toward the city, food limitations,s and so on.
Our house is placed in the center of the small valley but in a position where you can see all the down valley. You can go to the church, museum or Lock-in Tower in 15 minutes easy walking. Grunasi waterfall is just 40 min from Church square. Next to our house, 10 min walk, there is a traditional mill next to the river and a bridge. We like to go there for a relaxing walk or for a Pic-Nik. Just close to the center of the valley but in total privacy and close to nature. From the bridge, you can have beautiful photos of the river and nature. Then, going down to the river, you can feel the cold water and enjoy nature and the sun. For 20 min easy walking you can reach the waterfall with our family name, Gjecaj Waterfall, close to the main road. The guesthouse location is evaluated as a great location for the people planning to hike the Valbona Pass too. Families like to have swimming activities next to the Gjecaj waterfall or just next to the river wherever can be found some water pools suitable for swimming.
