Welcome to the "Bujtina Shtini" , meaning Guesthouse Shtini (Shtini is our family name), in the beautiful remote mountain village of Fshat in eastern Albania. What awaits you here is the soul of Albania, its century old tradition and hospitality. A rural village nestled along the slopes of a mountain and next to a spectacular canyon, the village of Fshat is only accessible over a 6km dirt road with some rocky sections. Exactly the hidden, unspoiled world you want to discover and experience - provided you have a 4x4, a normal car with good ground clearance, a motorbike, a mountainbike, a horse - or just plain simple healthy legs to walk.
We are Jeton & Meliha Shtini, a middle-aged couple living & rooted in our beautiful village. While our kids live abroad just like many other Albanians do, we share our house & garden with chickens, cats, one cow providing us with milk, butter and cheese, and we are very happy to receive guests and give them a warm welcome& stay. We only speak Albanian, but we can assure you that smiles, hand signs, improvisation and some first experience with guests that we already have make things smooth & enjoyable. If really necessary we also have English/German/Italian-speaking friends that we can reach by phone for some translation help.
