Upon arrival, you’re invited to join us in making Byrek, Albania’s most beloved pastry, in our family kitchen – a warm, free experience that turns strangers into friends.
Originally my childhood home, now lovingly transformed into a cozy mountain retreat. It’s located in southern Albania, in the charming village of Gusmar, near Tepelenë.
Surrounded by nature and nestled among hazelnut trees, apple and cherry orchards, and a garden full of seasonal vegetables, the house offers a peaceful escape. Guests are more than welcome to enjoy the fresh fruits and vegetables during their stay.
The views of the surrounding mountains are truly breathtaking, and the sense of peace you’ll feel here is nothing short of magical.
I’m currently working as a heritage manager and have a deep passion for outdoor activities. In my free time, you’ll often find me fishing or tending to my bees — two things that bring me peace and joy.
Villa Meta is nestled in the heart of the mountains, where the Wi-Fi may be weak, but the connection to nature is truly strong. Here, you’ll find calm, fresh air, and an authentic escape from the busy world.
