Ulrike, originally from Germany, came to this little paradise as a traveler and met Valentin, a local whose heart beats for this land. What began as an unforgettable moment in the Albanian Alps turned into a shared future. Today, Theth is not only our home, but also our heart’s project. With Thethi Sky Lodge, we want to create a place where travelers can lose – and rediscover – themselves, just as we once did. A place for peace, for adventure, and for meaningful connections. Nestled in the heart of the Albanian Alps and surrounded by towering 2,000-meter peaks and pristine wilderness, this village offers a stunning backdrop that leaves every visitor in awe. A Hiker’s Dream with Spectacular Destinations From Thethi Sky Lodge, numerous hiking trails begin right outside your door: Grunas Waterfall (approx. 45 min walk) – A powerful, cascading waterfall hidden in the heart of nature. Grunas Canyon (approx. 1 hr 20 min) – A dramatic gorge with steep rock walls and crystal-clear turquoise water. The Blue Eye of Theth (approx. 3.5 hrs on foot or reachable by car) – A deep-blue, ice-cold spring, considered one of Albania’s most stunning natural wonders. Historic Landmarks & Village Life Directly opposite the lodge stands the iconic Church of Theth, one of the region’s most well-known landmarks. The village itself, with its old stone houses and traditional architecture, still tells the stories of times long past.
