We are a small private reserve in the Argentine Private Reserves Network, and we conserve an area of grasslands, forests and bushland. Property of Horacio Matarasso, a biologist specializing in birds and owner of Buenos Dias Birding company.

Property info

A simple room inside the Guest House in our Natural Reserve, 5 km from downtown Loreto. If you like simple and don't have many pretensions… this an option to visit Ibera Wetlands. 100% of the proceeds go to the conservation of the wildlife of our reserve. From there we can enjoy our feeders and trails. Important Notes: Note 1: We do not recommend our accommodation to those who do not arrive by their own vehicle, as we are far away and isolated from excursions or visits to the town. Note 2: The young people who work at our lodge speak only Spanish (and some Guaraní), they DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH or other languages. If this is a difficulty for you, please bear this in mind. We have decided to work with the local community, as part of local sustainable development. Note 3: We are located in a nature reserve. It is common for frogs to appear inside the lodge. Other animals such as toads, insects, opossums and others cross our paths. Our accommodation is only suitable for those who enjoy wildlife.

Neighborhood info

We are in the rural area 5 km from downtown Loreto, in front of Iberá Park. Loreto is a small town nestled on an island of humid Chaco forest, with 7 lagoons inside. This suburban neighborhood is known locally as Paraje Ita Paso. Best place for birding!
