My husband and I run the Danubebeach apartment near Melk in a medieval historical building, and the Eisenberg apartment at Vaskeresztes on the Hungarian-Austrian border in the middle of the beautiful Eisenberg vineyards

Holiday in Medieval atmosphere, our house was first mentioned in 1508. It is located directly on the Danube beach.
The 75m2 apartment is newly renovated, cozy living room with decorative electric fireplace, can also be used for heating, a pull-out couch for 2 persons, especially suitable for children. Boxspring bed in the bedroom, kitchen fully equipped.
Bathroom with shower, towels, shampoo, hair dryer. Separate toilet, two vestibules. WLAN, SAT TV, bed linen, bicycle room and much more.Our apartment is located directly in the idyllic countryside near the Melk Abbey, whose beauty you can admire on a bike ride or a pleasant walk. The perfect location of the house on the Danube makes this all possible and leisure activities such as swimming, pedal boating or even fishing, with a fishing card.
Also nearby you will find several restaurants which inflow could be reached in 5 to 10 minutes.
Another highlight of your holiday could be a boat trip, dock in Melk, 5 km from the house. Or a trip to the beautiful capital Vienna, as well as a trip to the medieval town Krems.
Neighborhood info
The house is located at the beginning of the Wachau which is known as a World Heritage Site, in the middle of the Nibelungengau, a small historic village right on the Danube beach. Excursion destinations are easily accessible by car, just a place to relax and unwind.
The Wachau is an Austrian valley with a picturesque landscape formed by the Danube river. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations of Lower Austria.
The name Nibelungengau is explained by the fact that the region played an important role in the Nibelungensong. Rüdiger von Bechelaren, a feudal lord of the Hun king, Etzel, is said to have had his seat there as a margrave.
There is a bus station 5 minutes walk from the house, with this bus you reach the train station Melk, from theregoes trains in directions, Vienna or Salzburg.
For our little ones there is of course also a children's playground on the beach which can be reached directly after a short walk, or if you fancy a cozy picnic with the family you will find the opportunity to do so in front of the house on a small meadow.
