The hideaways in the nature reserve directly on the lake ‘Simply the luxury of nature’ Our six unique holiday flats in the former bathing cabins of the lido have been charmingly modernised and furnished with attention to detail. The old is tastefully combined with the new. All hideaways are located DIRECTLY on Lake Altaussee with exclusive use of the beach Unbeatable views and incredible tranquillity guarantee the perfect holiday.

I have been running the Strandcafé restaurant right next to the Hideaways for three generations as a small nostalgic gem - genuine and friendly, attentive and relaxed. And that's exactly how the Hideaways are.

Altaussee It's a special kind of happiness.... Whether Archduke Johann, Friedrich Gauermann, Friedrich Torberg or, more recently, James Bond - there is little to add to the scenic charm of the centre of Austria - the mountains, forests and lake come together all too harmoniously here - a stroke of luck, so to speak, which is also a pleasure for the mind and soul. If you not only want to get to know the Salzkammergut in all its beneficial facets, but also want to experience it, a holiday on the shores of Lake Altaussee is not only recommended, but highly recommended. So it's a good thing that the Strandcafe not only spoils you with culinary delights, but also offers accommodation. Whether stirred or shaken, get your licence to live - directly on the lake and in the middle of life.
