You are looking for a sweet little cabin in the mountains? Ta-da, you´ve just found it! In modern language, people might call it a ‘tiny house’. However, the Kitzkopf hut is not a luxury chalet. It´s more of a cute little mountain cabin with a long history and plenty of Tyrolean charm. A large wood-burning stove fills the entire room with warmth and genuine cosiness. Up to five people can sleep comfortably in two double beds and one single bed. There is running water and electricity, a small kitchen with a gas stove, refrigerator and filter coffee machine and a bathroom with (hot) shower and a toilet. At the Kitzkopf hut true holiday dreams come true. With no frills, but a direct connection to nature. Located just outside Mayrhofen, the Kitzkopf Hut is the last house right on the edge of the forest in the area of Oberkumbichl. The village center is about 1.4 kilometres down the hill. A breathtaking enchanted forest starts right behind the cabin, where deer and fox say goodnight to each other. Dogs are allowed on request, but therefore must be kept on a leash in the forest and around the house. There is a car park available for you near the hut and it´s always better to bring your snow chains in winter. As you will have to walk up a few stairs from the parking to the house, the Kitzkopf hut is not barrier-free. Our wonderful mountain cabin offers you a light version 'off the grid' without wifi, but with soothing digital detox for your soul.

For real enjoyers and panorama fans, a gondola ride to over 2,000 metres up on mount Ahorn or Penken is always worthwhile. Winter Our cute little mountain hut is located in the middle of a real winter wonderland. Enjoy your holiday with nostalgia and typical Tyrolean lifestyle. For skiers and snowboarders, the Mayrhofen ski area offers endless possibilities. The valley stations of Ahorn and Penken cable cars are not far from the hut. Even without skis, it´s always a great choice to take the gondola to explore all the glittering winter hiking trails high up in the snowy Zillertal Alps. After all the action, you´ll happily come 'home' and enjoy the peace and quiet in your own little magic world. The tiled stove ensures cosy warmth throughout the house, even on frosty winter nights.
