The city centre with several restaurants and cosy terraces can be reached on foot within 10 minutes. St.Wolgang is located in the heart of Salzkammergut. A cruise on the Wolfgangsee lake is a first idea to get to know the immediate surroundings. For the more active holidaymaker, there are many hiking and cycling routes available. Some tips in the immediate area are to take the traditional little train of the Schafbergbahn to an altitude of 1783 metres, or enjoy the fantaistic view of the mountain panorama on the Zwölferhorn where you can be taken by gondola
