Dear guests, we are happy to welcome you on our little property Mountainview Flattnitz. The place is all yours and houses up to six people: Two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized double-bed and two extra beds; one with a single bed), a living room with a fireplace and an extra bed, two (simple) bathrooms with toilets, a nice terrace/balcony, a garden and a recently renovated country-style kitchen. There is outdoor-parking space for up to two cars on the property. The master bedroom is made from Zirbenholz (Swiss/Austrian stone pine), a traditional Austrian wood that gives a distinct, warm smell and is known to give an especially deep, relaxing sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, a fridge, a dishwasher, a sink and all kitchen-ware (pots, pans, glasses, plates, knives...) that you need. You will be able to cook in a relaxed atmosphere, looking out of the kitchen-window you might even see a deer, a woodpecker or a squirrel. If you are feeling romantic you can sit at the campfire, surrounded by the sound of the trees and the birds. Children and adults may equally enjoy making bread on sticks at the campfire, playing board-games or basking in the sun. We aim for an artsy, Austrian South/Middle/Eastern European style in the little things, like the arts surrounding you (we have a carefully selected small art collection decorating the walls), the books, dvds and games offered for your enjoyment.

The alps, the woods, the mountains and the beautiful landscape is what guests most enjoy. We suggest you head to Flattnitzer Teich (Lake Flattnitz) or to hike the Almenwasserweg that starts right under our property (look for the yellow sign). You will be at the little lake in about 10 minutes, depending on your marching pace. If you want to, you can borrow a handcart or a bob/sledge at our place, for free. Gathering mushrooms (chanterelles especially are a plenty here), hiking, mountain biking, biking, skiing, trekking, picnicking, ... the whole nature is yours!
