Pension Fernsicht was built in the 1970s and acquired by Ruben and me in 2006. Our goal was and remains to create a vacation spot where we would love to spend our own holidays. Not the grand luxury, but hospitality in a wonderful location. The simple but neatly furnished rooms have their own sink, table, and chair. Bed linen and towels are provided. A double shower and four toilets are located in the hallway. If the weather doesn't permit outdoor dining, breakfast (included) and dinner (Adult 15 euro, child 10 euro not included) are served in the guest lounge. Dinner is not à la carte and must be requested in advance. There is also a bar, sitting area, and darts board. There is also a veranda with a library and play area. In our large garden, you have a terrace with a beautiful view, a campfire area, hammocks, lounge chairs, and a swing, a vegetable and fruit garden, table tennis, and, not to forget, a sauna hut with a private shower. Hey, I'm Greet. In 2006, my husband Ruben and I left Belgium to settle in beautiful, sunny, green, wintry Carinthia. And no, we haven't regretted it yet. Tourism often means summer or winter vacation. And this despite my favorite season being spring. In summer, Carinthia is at its most beautiful. Fresh air, green mountainsides, blue skies, and crystal-clear lakes invite you to get active: swimming, cycling, hiking, climbing... Thanks in part to the Kärnten Card, it's a true children's paradise. With this card, you have free access to more than 100 child-friendly attractions, including ski lifts, alpine roads, zoos, boat trips, museums, canyons, and much more. For those seeking peace and quiet, there's nothing better than enjoying a cool drink in one of the hammocks at Pension Fernsicht. All while your children play in the garden or gather wood for the campfire. Since we're located at the border triangle, a trip to Italy or Slovenia is also highly recommended. Both borders are about 45 minutes from Fernsicht. In winter, the mountains call to you after a restful night under the soft duvets. The snow-sure slopes, from Christmas to Easter, offer a new adventure every day. At breakfast with homemade marmalade, a fresh egg, and a glass of spring water, we're happy to help you find the right ski resort, ski instructor, or perhaps a mapped-out snowshoe hike. After a sledding ride, a powder surf, or a relaxing sauna session with panoramic views, the warm guest lounge welcomes you. Or is it the delicious aroma of the kitchen? Enjoy a cozy after-dinner chat with a glass of wine, beer, or schnapps, perhaps accompanied by a board game.
