At our place, young and old railway enthusiasts can slip into conductor costumes and enjoy their holiday to the fullest. Inspired by our own children, who grew up in the historic Dürnstein train station and still run excitedly to wave at every passing train, we now wish to share this special experience with you from summer 2024 onwards. We have lovingly renovated the former stationmaster’s apartment in the imperial-era station, transforming it into a holiday apartment for railway lovers. Conductor costumes, waving flags, a train play table, and plenty of railway games ensure your children will never be bored. If you seek variety, the surrounding area offers car-free access to playgrounds, a sandy Danube beach, a natural swimming pond, pebble beaches, boat trips, climbing and hiking areas, an ice cream shop, and much more. After an eventful day, local wine taverns and restaurants in the neighbourhood invite you to enjoy regional delicacies. Alternatively, you can prepare delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen of the apartment using fresh produce from the nearby bakery or the small supermarket around the corner. In the evenings, you can relax on the spacious terrace, taking in the beautiful views of Kellerschlössel and the ruins of Dürnstein while enjoying your meal.
