Welcome to the South Styria! The winery, which has existed for five generations, is nestled in the middle of the Styrian Tuscany directly on the South Styrian Wine Road between Leutschach and Gamlitz. As head of the house, winemaker Franz Junior is constantly striving to continue the quality-oriented family business in the spirit of his parents, Karoline and Franz Senior. Therefore, we have gradually expanded our winery in recent years. Since 2017, we have been cultivating about 20 hectares of vineyards, which extend from Fötschach (Glanz) to the Pößnitzberg (Glanz) and the Kranachberg (Eichberg) to the Sulztal (Zoppelberg, Gamlitz). About 10 different grape varieties thrive on our vineyards, which are of course harvested every year in painstaking manual labor from our steep sunny slopes. The grapes are then processed by Franz Junior and his father in our own wine cellar to produce noble and exclusive wines. You can enjoy and taste these quality and DAC wines with the ladies of the house on the sun terrace, with a breathtaking view of the Slovenian hill country, in a cozy atmosphere. Wine tasting with the master of the house: An experience of a very special kind, an absolute and unforgettable pleasure is to taste the range of varieties of selected wines in the vaulted cellar, which is over 400 years old, in an atmospheric setting and by candlelight. Wine tastings are available in groups of 4 to 12 people by appointment until the end of August. Guest rooms: Five cozy double rooms are at your disposal. Our accommodation is the perfect starting point for a hike or a bike tour. Buschenschänken and restaurants are within walking distance from our accommodation.
