The resort offers conference rooms, 2 swimming pools including a stunning lagoon pool. Yes, we are in the Peppers resort but we are a private letting. The location is perfect, just a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal with local shops, cafes and IGA supermarket all close by for your convenience.

We are a retired couple who have made the sea change from the big smoke in Brisbane to Magnetic Island. We fell in love with this place on a trip and decided we needed to share it. There is so much to see and do on this beautiful island, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We will try and help you with anything we can if possible. Life is an adventure, let’s enjoy it!

Magnetic Island is one of those charming places that has special 'island time'. It is one of the only Great Barrier Reef islands to have a postcode and has 4 villages: Nelly Bay (where you arrive on the ferry); Picnic Bay; Arcadia and Horseshoe Bay and is home to around 2000 people. We would really recommend the Forts Walk. You can get there by bus - it's on the road to Horseshoe Bay at the Radical Bay turnoff. It's about 3/4 of an hour walk and you are almost guaranteed to see a koala in the wild. It also has the best preserved fortification from WWII on the eastern seaboard. There are lots of walks as three quarters of the island is national park. Horseshoe Bay is the best for water activities and Picnic Bay is a beautiful quieter spot. Balding Bay (walk from Horseshoe Bay) is only accessible by boat and is also one of our favourites. Eating out: Man Friday in Nelly Bay does great enchilladas and other cuisine and both the pubs at Horseshoe and Picnic are usually good. Fish and chips from the shopping complex in Nelly on the corner of Mandalay Ave and Sooning Street highly recommended.
