Hi, I'm Lisa. I am an enthusiastic host who has live in Hobart all my life. I have very strong connections over thirty years with the Tasmanian wine, food and tourist scenes. I love travelling, gardening and keeping fit. Adventures have included Annapurna Base Camp, trekking in the north of Vietnam, walking in southern Italy and volunteering with my daughter in Cambodia. Other more relaxing excursions have been touring Northern India, time in Southern France, safari in Botswana and most recently visiting Israel and Jordan. During recent times I have taken the opportunity to re-explore many of my favourite places around Tasmania and also some new locations e.g. Flinders Island. I love returning to our city of Hobart of only 200,000 people but that has everything that larger cities have under the magnificent shadow of Mount Wellington and set on the picturesque Derwent River. I cannot live without my family, dachshund puppy (Lily), and to relax most evenings with a great meal and a glass of Tasmanian Pinot Noir.

Amberley is a classic rustic gothic exclusive luxury retreat built circa 1880 in the heart of Sandy Bay Village and a short walk to Short's beach at Marieville Esplanade, the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania and Derwent Sailing Squadron, University of Tasmania Sandy Bay campus and Battery Point and city centre. I hope you find my cottage a perfect way to relax as you enjoy Hobart and surrounds has to offer.

It is a short walk to to the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania, Derwent Sailing Squadron, University of Tasmania Sandy Bay Campus, Battery Point and Salamanca Place and Hobart waterfront.
