We purchased the 86 acre property in 2021, which we share with several mobs of kangaroos and wallabies, and a wide selection of native Australian birds. Wehave been operating the cottages, re branded and refurbished for three years. During this time we have secured a Tourism Industry 4 star rating and continued to secure 5 star reviews.

The four Battunga cottages are fully equipped with all modern amenities and include a separate living area with a kitchenette, bathroom, and a wood fireplace.“So perfectly Clare”, is how one of our guests described their stay.
At dusk, after a day of wine tasting and epicurean delights, sip your cellar door bootie, relaxing on your private veranda, and watch the glorious colours of the sunset over the Skilly Hills.
Listen to the chorus of magpies, galahs, and kookaburras sing their evening song.
And don't forget, before you go to bed, look up and view the magnificent stars of southern skies.

Watervale is a town on the Horrocks Highway in the Clare Valley, South Australia, approximately 9 kilometres north of Auburn and 15 kilometres south of Clare. It is surrounded by a number of small wineries and is home to the Award Winning Watervale Hotel, and the Watervale General Store, operated by the owners of the Watervale Hotel. The Riesling Trail runs past the town to the west, between the Highway and the Skilly Hills and the area is also part of the Clare Valley Wine and Wilderness Trail, a 100 kilometer hiking trail around the Valley.
