Bawaka Experience is an Aboriginal owned and operated business welcoming visitors to Bawaka homeland in East Arnhem Land - Northern Territory, home to the Burarrwanga family. We specialise in Yolŋu cultural experiences for travellers, students and corporate groups. Accommodation options include beachfront cabins, safari tents, or BYO bush camping. Visitors can take part in a traditional Welcome to Country ceremony, and learn how Yolŋu gathered bush foods, and about traditional remedies. Activites such as weaving, or traditional spear fishing and crab hunting are available. Learn about Moiety (Yirratja) and Kinship (Dhuwa) and how this connects us to the land and to each other, one big Earth balanced.
