“Birch Lane” is a fully self-contained B&B between Cygnet and Huonville, Southern Tasmania; A stylish, comfortable, tranquil apartment with a private courtyard set in a working farm in the heart of the Huon Valley but close to shops and tourist destinations. Fully equipped luxury kitchen: with dishwasher, full-sized fridge freezer, oven, cooktop, pantry, wine glasses and dining table/ setting for 4 people. Laundry: a washing machine, dryer and laundry trough. Private Courtyard: enjoy the garden with afternoon coffee or a glass of wine. (see our gallery for pictures). Our cat is happy to join you any time. Queen-sized Bed: The queen size bed has a latex mattress, luxurious linen and a selection of pillow profiles. Air-conditioning and heating. Unlimited free Wifi and Broadband. Undercover private offstreet parking. The accommodation is attached to our home but is completely separate, private and lockable. Keys and entry details at time of booking.
Your hosts, Peter and Michelle, travel a lot, and we know what we like. Comfort, cleanliness, convenience, privacy, peace and quiet, and natural beauty close to shops and tourist attractions. “Birch Lane” has all this, plus a few surprising extra touches to make your stay memorable and comfortable. We are around if you need us, invisible if you don't. We have a little, old, over-friendly dog, and 2 cats.
Our property is on a hill overlooking the Valley. It is quiet and peaceful with clean air. Our closest neighbours are the cows in the paddock. We are set amongst working farms. From Hobart: Travel south to Huonville, turn left just before the Huonville Bridge and drive 11kms towards Cygnet. Turn left up Cradoc Hill Rd. "Birch Lane" is less than a km from the highway, 3rd driveway on the right with the Silver Birch trees lining the driveway. The lush Huon Valley is Australia's best kept secret for foodies and eco-tourists. It is also popular for festivals and culture and close to all the major tourist attractions in Hobart and the Derwent Valley.
