Book Keepers is a lovely old 1919 cottage with many original features. A lovely cottage for families to enjoy or for a romantic weekend by the fire. Enjoy your coffee on the balcony verandah overlooking the Waikerie Valley, leave your car in the car port and walk to most venues. Just across the street from the Waikerie Hotel. Established gardens and BBQ area The cottage has several different levels and not suitable for anyone with a mobility issue. . 2 nights required weekends and Long Weekends community events. 3 nights required Easter and October longweekend. No in or outs over Xmas.
Hi, I'm Jenny. I am a retired midwife with a love of old cottages and their histories. My husband and I started renovating old cottages around 25 years ago and Book Keepers is probably our last. We have a farming property in the Riverland SA. We are broad acre farmers with both wheat and sheep and a love of the Australian Stock Horses with our own Stallion, Chalani Chaparral. We also have a very spoilt Kelpie, Kitt and a very fat cat Lewie.
There is so much to do in the Riverland, you will need several weeks to get around to all the great spots. But if you only have a day or so we can recommend some great Vine Yard and Cellar door experiences, great food and river wet land experiences. Horse riding and gliding for the adventurous and retail therapy for the even more adventurous. Don't miss out, its all here in the Riverland.
