Camelot was architect designed to enjoy the coastal environment, sea views, and the comforts of modern living. Camelot was built to the highest environmental and energy efficient standards. Upstairs you will enjoy the large living room with couches for six guests, Smart TV with complimentary Netflix Streaming. The attached balcony has an outdoor table and seating offering the best sea views in the Kingscote area. Downstairs the living room has the wood fire in front of an amazing double story stone wall made from local limestone. Wood is provided free of charge. The dining table seats nine and is beside large glass doors which open out to the outdoor decking, table and electric BBQ. The kitchen has an induction cooktop, large pyrolytic oven, coffee machine and all the normal appliances. The master bedroom is huge; it has ample wardrobes and a delightful writing desk. The ensuite has a spa bath for your enjoyment. The second bathroom has a separate bath and shower, and another toilet is next door. The laundry has a washing machine and an energy efficient overhead drying rack. Camelot was built for all year comfort, living in tune with the seasons. The north facing alignment, large double -glazed timber windows, thermal mass of the stone wall and polished concrete floors are central to the comfort and energy efficiency of Camelot. The use of blinds, high ceiling fans, shade sails and high windows make Camelot cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Smaller heaters are provided, but air conditioning is not in use at Camelot. It has no place in a house of this design. If this sounds complicated, it's not really all the blinds, windows, shade sails etc are in place prior to your arrival.

We have taken great pride in building Camelot to the most exacting environmental standards in such a wild and exiting place as Kangaroo Island. In renting Camelot to guests, we feel like we are sharing part of that passion for the environment and low impact housing. Camelot is situated on the Kingscote foreshore 5 minutes' walk to central Kingscote which offers restaurants, cafes, specialty shops, galleries, banking, hospital etc. The famous Tidal Pool, known for safe swimming, is even closer. The recently completed Kingscote to Brownlow walking and cycling track passes the front door. The Yacht Club and beach is jus 10 minutes' walk in the other direction. There simply is no better place to enjoy the wild beauty of Kangaroo Island while having conveniences close by.
