This guest suite is fully self-contained with kitchenette, en suite spa, toilet, shower and laundry. This studio accommodation is a new-build in the stone hall attached to the former Uniting Church in historic Spalding. Built by Cornish stone masons in 1927, the old church building is an impressive testament to their craftsmanship, with 30 similar structures in mid-north SA. While we offer some essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, milk, butter and condiment servings, breakfast and meals are not provided. The kitchenette has all facilities neded for cooking including refrigerator, pots, pans, crockery, utensils, etc. Guests must clean any equipment used for cooking, or an additional cleaning fee will apply.

As host, I live much of the week in Adelaide and return to Spalding on weekends. Friends and our cleaner, Debbie living nearby in the village are available for assistance if I am not around in person.
The accommodation is in a quiet neighborhood with a rural outlook, overlooking a nearby field. Nearby attractions include: Clare and its famous vineyards and wineries; historic Burra, site of the former second largest copper mine in the world; Bundaleer Reservoir with trout and freshwater fishing for amateur anglers; Jamestown and its many charms including the railway museum and site of the world’s largest battery, connected to vaste sources of renewable energy; Southern Flinders Ranges - en route to Melrose, Quorn and Hawker. Spalding Hotel offers meals Wednesday to Saturday evenings whilst the local deli has meals available Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Easy access for vehicles and free parking on site.
