YES we have free wifi in all cottages! You won't be charged until your stay but we do require credit card details to process the payment online as reception facilities are off-site only. Just send us a message if you have any questions. You are able to set up a virtual credit card should you not want to share your actual card details. Self-contained, affordable, Strahan accommodation perfect for families or group bookings. Freestanding and comfortable home-style Strahan accommodation. We have the space you need inside and outside. You won't feel cooped up and cramped. Everything you need to get your Strahan adventure started is provided. We have supplied amenities to get you started and our well-stocked local IGA may surprise you with their wide selection. Our accommodation in Strahan is close to the golf course and in a quiet area of the town. The local takeaway shop and a bottleshop is 10-15 minutes walk away and just a few minutes drive. If you enjoy self-catering and staying in to relax, Greengate Cottages Strahan is perfect. Book now, we look forward to welcoming you.

Greengate Cottages are a local family-owned small business and Margo and Mark are proud to welcome you into this amazing part of the world. Margo is an essential front-line worker as a full time nurse at Burnie and loves being an accommodation host. Mark is an essential worker tradie with his own business. Being West Coast locals they love having the opportunity to offer affordable accommodation in a place that is like no other in the world. Unfortunately, the pandemic took bookings out completely and interrupted planned renovations and so the prices reflecting some areas of the cottages that need some work. Fabulous value for guests as the cottages cater for everything you need for a relaxed and comfortable stay. You'll love the thoughtful touches and know that Margo and Mark offer value for money and really want you to feel at home and welcomed. Check in and out is a breeze with non-contact self-check in. While there is no reception on-site, there are staff available to assist with any needs during your stay. Don't hesitate to message or call.
There are many things to see and do in Strahan and surrounding areas. Cruise the Gordon River and Macquarie Harbour, to visit Sarah Island and learn about our industrious and roguish history, there's a few surprises there. Go deep into the Western Wilds on the West Coast Wilderness Railway. Please call and check availability as the carriages have limited capacity due to distancing guidelines and you may be disappointed if you just turn up on the day. Have some spare time? Take a relaxed stroll around the harbour, visit our woodworking craft shop, visitors centre and grab a beer or a snack at the historic Hamers Hotel. See our own Hogarth Falls and get to know some local greenery as you take the easy walk from People's Park. Go for a short drive to see Macquarie Heads beach and Ocean Beach. Henty Sand Dunes are amazing and making your way up them is well worth it. Greengate Cottages are located in a quiet area, just a very short walk to the golf course. We know you'll love Strahan and our self-catering accommodation is ready and waiting.
