In 2021, we made a life-changing decision to escape the fast-paced city life of inner Brisbane and embrace the serene beauty of the hinterland. Accompanied by our beloved 10-year-old daughter and my father, we embarked on a new chapter of our lives. Motivated by our yearning for a more self-sufficient lifestyle and the freedom to work from the comfort of our own surroundings, we undertook the ambitious endeavour of constructing cabins on our land. The journey was a lengthy one, spanning 2.5 years, but the end result even exceeded our expectations. Each exclusive cottage features open plan design with a luxurious king size bed, romantic gas fire place, intimate 2-person bathtub with dimmable mood lighting throughout.

Having a car in this area is highly recommended. There are many different types of walks in the area once you get here. The closest walk (which does not require a car) is at your door step – Mapleton Falls National Park. The park covers an area of approximately 52 hectares and is home to a stunning waterfall, rainforest, and a variety of flora and fauna. The park also features several short walking tracks, ranging from easy strolls to more challenging hikes. The Picnic Creek Circuit is a popular 1.3km walk that takes visitors through lush rainforest and past a small waterfall, while the Wompoo Circuit is a 1.8km walk that offers stunning views of the waterfall and surrounding countryside. In addition to the walking tracks, the park also offers picnic areas with barbecues, toilets, drinking water & free parking, making it a great place to spend a day exploring and enjoying the outdoors.
