Josie' Cottage is a C1834 Georgian cottage that has been lovingly restored and cared for. However, expect to find loving wear, age and charming patina. Featured in Frank Bolt's book 'Old Hobart Town Today' Josie's Cottage still retains some delightful authentic features such as the heavy iron bars on the bathroom window, bread oven in the courtyard, as well as cedar and Huon pine timbers throughout. Accommodation comprises a downstairs bedroom with double brass and iron bed. The kitchen dining is located to the rear of the cottage with the sitting room at the front looking out to the garden. The bathroom is also on the ground floor and includes a bathtub and walk in shower. Upstairs are the second bedroom with double bed and third bedroom with two twin beds and plenty of storage. Both upstairs bedrooms overlook the lush front garden. There is free off street parking in the vine covered car port. The back garden is simply an oasis with views to Mount Wellington. The stone path takes you on a journey to a sitting area next to the heritage listed walnut tree. It is hard to believe Josie's Cottage is just a stone's throw from the city.
