Gorgeous, brand-new, private, luxury accommodation, set on acreage just outside the quaint, historic town of Geeveston - only a 60 minute drive South of Hobart in the scenic lower reaches of the Huon Valley. Our cottage is surrounded by a natural rivulet and Blue Gum forest, which makes the perfect home for our resident platypus and our many other friendly farm animals.
Kymmik Cottage is a beautiful place to let the world go by while breathing in the cleanest air blown over from Antarctica. During your stay, relax outside in our riverside hammock; or on the window seat with a book and glass of Tassie's finest wine; or drive to several must see tourist attractions and natural wonders located nearby. Hike the alpine terrain at Hartz Mountains National Park, dip into the thermal spring pools at Hastings Caves State Reserve, or spending the evening hunting Auroras at Australia's southernmost point - South Coast Cape
We discovered the beauty of Tasmania and made the move from the mainland 7 years ago. Our dream was to offer a unique accommodation that gave guests an experience and we hoped they would leave our cottage, refreshed, rested and in love with our little piece of paradise as we are. Kymmik Cottage is situated on its own acreage just out side the historical town of Geeveston. The town offers wonderful cafes, supermarket, library, doctors surgery, pharmacy, bank, post office, the famous Wall of Lollies and a visitors centre. We are also very proud that the comedy Rosehaven is filmed here.
