It is only a short stroll to the beach and perfectly suited for solo travellers, couples or small families. Guest Access You will have the entire property to yourself. Interaction with guests We don't live locally, so won't be around in person, but feel free contact us with anything you need! Other details to note The kitchen is fully equipped with a stovetop, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, cookware, espresso machine & plunger. You can get any nibbles or food supplies from the local IGA. Pets are welcome - but please note the property is not fenced. The Little Roaring Beach Shack was a well-established short stay accommodation when I recently took it over. I wanted to continue the tradition because I genuinely enjoy creating a warm, comfortable space where people can relax and feel at home. Whether it's holiday makers, weekend travellers, or people passing through for work, I love the idea of offering a place that's clean, welcoming and comfortable. It's also a great way for me to share a beautiful part of the world and combine my love of hospitability with smart property use.

Neighbourhood Description The shack overlooks Little Roaring Beach, with Bruny Island in the distance, and is a 5-minute drive to the picturesque village of Dover. It’s an ideal base for exploring the Huon Valley and a host of walking tracks to lakes, lagoons, waterfalls and mountains. You can also head underground at Hastings Cave and bathe in thermal springs. Some of our favourite nearby spots to visit are: Hartz Mountain National Park, Tahune Air Walk and Cockle Creek. Getting around The shack is located a little over an hour from Hobart, in the remote Roaring Bay. There is no public transport available, so you will need a car to get around. We have plenty of parking on site. Please note that access to the property is up a steep driveway but the view is worth it! We recommend stopping in Huonville or Dover to get any supplies you may need. What is not to love about the beautiful untouched Tasmanian coastline? South Tasmania is full of natural beauty, rich history and delicious food and wine. Here are some highlights: * Bruny Island * Hastings caves and Thermal Springs  * Southwest National Park * Mt Wellington - Towering over Hobart, offering many bushwalks and panoramic views. * Cockle Creek - The southernmost point you can drive in Australia. Peaceful, and perfect for wildlife spotting or starting the South Coast Track.
