Surrounded by the ever-changing wilderness of the Northern Territory; experience this unique opportunity to have uninterrupted views across the Finniss Valley & Litchfield National Park. As you make your way up to the ridge, the red dirt & colours of the natural native bushland let you know you're in the Territory. At the top you’ll be welcomed by a cleverly designed building that flows along the rock edge, marrying its colour & beauty. Perched up high on this rugged & harsh ridge line is a large wooden deck that wraps around the rocks, softening its harshness & bringing balance. This modern retreat, designed for couples and individuals alike includes: - A spacious queen size bed, French linen and views across the valley - A well-appointed bathroom which is light and bright - A fully equipped airconditioned kitchen with dining and outside eating areas - A firepit to enjoy the night skies away from any artificial lights - A shaded deck perfect for bird watching, reading or simply taking in that view Our vision was simple, to create a space of love, relaxation, reconnection & recovery. Our wish, that you can feel it.
Both Steven and Alice enjoy hosting and have done so for many years. Lovers of nature, birdlife and wildlife we try to keep the land as natural as possible to encourage regular birds onto the property. We are hands off hosts, but close by if needed to make your stay comfortable and secure.
When you live on the doorstep to Litchfield National Park you are spoilt for choice. 25mins from the retreat will have you swimming in Buley Rockhole or Florence Falls. Explore Tolmer falls, Greenant creek and take a swim in Wangi Falls. 12mins into Batchelor you can dine out at the local pub, visit the Batchelor Museum and learnt he history and read stories from WW1 and WW2. Visit our famous Blue Castle and see wild brumbies walking the quiet and shady town. Birdwatching and landscape photography anywhere you visit.
