The Roundhouses are situated on a small organic hobby farm with bushland providing firewood and a small herd of Australian miniature goats. The Roundhouses are a true eco-luxury experience with attention to well designed buildings, use of natural materials, composting on site, fresh farm eggs, recycling, no single use plastics. We have one roundhouse available right now, and we are hoping to build more once established.

Property info

Luxury strawbale architect designed roundhouses. These are truly environmentally friendly with underfloor heating, log burner with wood from our own site. Both villas have a fully equipped kitchen with BBQ on the deck outside. PLEASE NOTE, the roundhouse is essentially one room, with Bear having a small separate bunk room. We are a non smoking property. Bear is a family unit with a massive solid European heart-oak king bed as well as a small bunk bed room. Breakfast ingredients are supplied on the first day, such as eggs, fresh baked bread, butter, condiments, milk, juice, tea, coffee.

Neighborhood info

We are about 4km from Cygnet village, and at the top of Sandhill Rd. Local attractions include Willie Smiths, Pagan Cider, the shops and restaurants around Cygnet as well as Fat Pig Farm (2km away). Port Cygnet Cannery is about 5km away. Huonville, 15km has a jet boat, large supermarket and a range of other shops. Further afield is Franklin, with the wooden boat museum, harbour and restaurants, as well as Franks Cider Restaurant and Geeveston with Tahuna AirWalk and visitor centres.
