We were on motor bikes - we weren't connected to the internet nor were we advised we needed to download the booking.com app. It was luck I had downloaded the vendor's mobile phone number, he answered, gave the code and we were able to get in

We enjoyed the history of the cottage, especially the architecture and the ceiling heights. The modern bathroom was lovely as well as the beds and linen. The outside area was a delight with the vines over the pergola and the fairy lights.

The Sunday School Cottage was once a Sunday School starting in 1870's located directly next to the 1850 Primitive Methodist Church. It's has seen many modifications over the years and it now a cozy cottage right in the centre of town.
I am a former U.S Marine (Gunnery Sergeant) aka Gunny. I have traveled around the world and stayed in hundreds of places and know what guests want in accommodations. I pride myself in making this the best of the best. If you have any suggestions that you think would make your stay more comfortable, please don't hesitate in letting me and my team know.
Burra, which calls itself 'An Historic Copper Town and the Merino Capital of the World', is a unique township. It did not become an official entity until 1940 when the tiny, separate mining communities of Aberdeen, New Aberdeen, Kooringa, Llwchwr, Redruth and Graham were drawn together under the name Burra. It was declared a State Heritage town in 1994 because of its wealth of outstanding historic buildings and the opportunity it offers for the visitor to understand a little of what life was like in a 19th century copper mining town. Burra is on the edge of marginal land. It is a pretty and historic town where the visitor can easily spend a full day exploring the town's rich mining history. The Sunday School cottage is only a couple minutes walk from the centre of town with shops, restaurants, antique shops, pubs and much more. There is a foot bridge adjacent to cottage that takes you on a lovely walking trail to the Burra Creek park.
