Gorgeous location with very comfortable accommodation. Loved the fact of only being 3 glamping tents in the whole place, so very quiet and good opportunities for being immersed in nature. Would thoroughly recommend.

Property info

Wild Nature Lodge is for those seeking beautiful experiences with nature. Located on a spectacular nature reserve, there are only 3 rooms and a magnificent open-plan main lodge. Breakfast on the deck is an experience you will never forget. The Lodge is self-contained accommodation (though staff are always close at hand). The main lodge building has a shared kitchen and a large viewing deck overlooking 97 acres of tropical wetlands. The main building is 150m from the tents. Alternatively, you can use the separate BBQ area beside the glamping accommodation. The accommodation all have forest views. Each glamping tent has a queen bed and a single, ensuite bathroom and a deck. They are close enough for a group to enjoy while being far enough apart to have privacy. A complimentary breakfast hamper with bread, spreads, teas, coffee, hot chocolate & milk is provided for day 1, as are toiletries for the first night. Wake up early to the bird calls from the bush and wetlands, and watch the tendrils of mist rising among the lotus lilies. Each glamping unit has a table and chairs set up on the main deck overlooking a large, tropical lake. Ample fridge and freezer space is provided. Wildlife is abundant, and the reserve is globally renowned as one of Australia's best bird-watching sites Many mammals live around the lodge area, and the endangered Northern Quoll is regularly seen. Please note that the wider reserve is not accessible. There are designated tracks. New this season! Join us for Sunset drinks and nibbles, followed by an experienced guided night tour. Ask at the lodge. The lodge is accessed down 7km of graded gravel road and is 25 minutes from Mareeba. Rechargeable torches are provided, and pathways are lit at night. Neighborhood info

Wild Nature Lodge is located in one of Australia's most biodiverse and scenically beautiful regions. The tropical rainforests, ancient limestone cave systems are easily accessible in a day-trip. The lodge is located in the savannahs of Northern Australia, and we recommend spending at least a full day enjoying the lodge and the wildlife. Mareeba, the closest town, is a wonderful spot. Famous for its coffee, you can visit several plantations in the Mareeba district, as well as spectacular national parks, great pubs, cafes, and restaurants. Cairns, the Atherton Tablelands and Port Douglas are all just a day trip away. The Lambs Range, Atherton and Kuranda Range are well-known mountain biking locations. Mareeba has an award-winning Visitor Information Centre and we encourage all guests to spend some time there getting to know the various attractions. Mareeba hosts one of the north's largest rodeos and bull-riding events each July, and big-name music events such as Savannah in the Round usually in October.
