...Halvat home was established 1998, but our ,hotel business' story started few years before... while Sarajevo was under the siege '92-'95, Valida&Mumo opened their first hotel - legendary Meridian - place where the most famous journalists worked!

Halvat home is situated just 100m from central/main square Sebilj - water fountain, in Bascarsija. 200m from Gazi Husrev Bey's mosque, 150 m from Old Orthodox church in Bascarsija and 500m from Old synagogue and Roman Catholic cathedral. 250 m from Museum of city of Sarajevo as well as from Svrzo's house - traditional Muslim family mid class house from XVIII century.
