I live in Sarajevo with my husband and three amazing kids. We love to travel, go camping, and find antiques. Mountain biking is one of our favorite things to do as a family. I am fascinated by history and am a constant learner and seeker of truth. We love living in Bosnia for it's wild beauty; close enough to the beach in the summer and mountains for skiing/snowboarding in winter. We are happy to help in any way possible to make your stay amazing. It is no problem to arrange early luggage drop-off so you can start exploring the city with ease as soon as you arrive. Upon request we can provide SIM cards and tram tickets. Feel free to contact us with any questions you might have!

Find your oasis of peace away from the chaos of the city center, in the beautiful suburb of Ilidza, known for it’s parks and rivers. The heart of Sarajevo is just a 15 min car ride and public transport is easily accessible a 5 min walk away at the main bus/tram station. The airport is 3.5 km away. The house has three separate apartments; Gold Deluxe 2Bedroom Apt. (top floor), Silver 3Bedroom Apt. (ground/first floor) and Bronze 1Bedroom Apt. (ground floor) and is also available to rent as a whole. There is also a laundry room (free of charge). The house can sleep up to 25 people. There are four parking spaces on the property as well as a lovely garden which has covered seating and a gas grill. A perfect place for your getaway!

Neighborhood info

A small grocery store is just around the corner with a good selection. Within a five-min walk are plenty of cafes and restaurants on Mala Aleja, the walking street in Ilidza. You can enjoy some football or sledding on the spacious green of the Željeznica river just 100m away. A 10-min walk will bring you to beautiful parks where you can stroll Park Banjska or Velika Aleja, the tree lined path that leads to the beautiful Vrela Bosna national park. You can also rent a horse and carriage that will take you to the entrance of the national park. Enjoy local cuisine, at Pizzeria Ilidziš that offers traditional Kljukuš, made from grated potatoes topped with fresh cheese. A 20-min walk brings you to Thermal Riviera, a fantastic waterpark open year-round and in the same complex you will find Kinderland, an indoor adventure playplace that kids age 2-13 will enjoy. All this is just in Ilidza which is also a short 8-min ride from the Sarajevo Intl Airport. Plenty more to explore as well in the center of Sarajevo, a diverse area with wild charm and raw beauty. The Olympic ski slopes of Bjelasnica and Igman are just a 30-min. drive away, and 45 min. to Jahorina. Ski rental, transport optional.
