Welcome to your relaxing tropical oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Mermaid Apartments is located on a quiet road in a residential neighbourhood away from traffic noise yet close to restaurants and a supermarket. Birds chirp during the day and the Whistling Frogs serenade you at night. Keep an eye out for the troupe of monkeys that pass by most days. A secluded beach is two minutes walk away and the rooftop deck is perfect for stargazing. The apartment is a 3-bedroom unit that we rent as a 1, 2 or 3-bedroom to increase our rentals. We only book one guest at a time so you will have the entire 1,800 sf (165 sm) top floor of the concrete building to yourself! The apartment is the perfect place to relax and unwind as you enjoy the Atlantic breezes. There are casual and fine dining choices nearby, plus a grocery store. Our kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of cooking gear, stainless steel appliances, a fridge/freezer, gas stove, microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher, washer/dryer. The suite has free wireless Internet. If you don't want to cook when you are on vacation, let us know and we'll arrange a cook for you at a small additional charge.

Our family, the Chandlers, were some of the first settlers in Barbados, arriving in 1637. This property came to us from out mother's side of the family. Our great-grandfather, Sir Herbert Greaves, purchased the land and it has passed down to us via his daughter and granddaughter who was our mother. We are the fourth generation to own this property.

The Crane Hotel, one of the oldest hotels in Barbados, is 10 minutes away and it has a number of restaurants. Mermaid Apartments is a 10-minute drive to Grantly Adams International Airport, 30 minutes to Bridgetown, the capital, and 25 minutes from the famous St. Lawrence Gap.
