Broekemmolen is an old watermill dating from 1489 that was completely restored, first in 1989 and then again in 2010 and 2024. The mill lies on a 'green island' of nature close to Bilzen and many green areas in Limburg. The river 'Demer' flows just next to it and gives a beautiful view of nature along with the natural water spring that flows into a small pond. Relaxing environment along the local cycling paths. The house holds five sleeping rooms, two bathroomsand outside shower, two toilet rooms and a large and modern high-end kitchen for cooking with a table (10p) connected to the cooking area. An open fire in the living room gives a complete holiday feeling.
We offer breakfast and dinner - only by reservation. Reservations can be made at our email address. Prices of dinners vary according to your wishes, from a simple dinner to a gastronomic five-course dinner with champagnes. The house also has a charging station for electric cars. You can only use this by reservation. Please indicate by email which days and nights you wish to reserve the charging station.
The Broekemmolen is a green island in the greenest province of the country. The mill is situated on the river 'Demer' and is close to nature reserves and forests. The location is ideal for biking and walking. The Broekemmill lies on the network of cycling paths in Limburg. You can immediately start biking on the signposted cycle paths. The Broekemmill was earlier a dependency of the 'Alden Biesen' castle that is situated at 3 km from the mill. As a consequence, the building style of the mill is the same as Grand Commandery of Alden Biesen which is a Commandery of the Teutonic Order (founded in 1190).
