At Guest house & Vineyard De Kouterhoeve, you will have a quiet and luxurious stay in a rural environment. Without any doubt, you will enjoy sleeping in the large waterbed, made with Belgian linen. From your room, equipped with sofas en digital tv, you have a fantastic view on the vineyard, our family of Scottish Highlanders and your private terrace. On the courtyard, you can spot numerous swallow nests with a fantastic view on the fields. Take your daily eggs your self from the hen house or fresh herbs from the serr.

The renovation of this farmstead, as part of a unique 'twin farm', built in 1919, right after heavy fightings after World War I, is our big passion. The architect Ernest was one of the architects who was asked to rebuild the region. These days, The Kouterhoeve has been registered as 'building with high architectural value'. The hosts are there when you need us, but we also allow you privacy and rest during your stay. You will spot Kris frequently in the vineyard, he will tell you with lots of passion about it.

The Kouterhoeve is located along a quiet walking and cycling distance of Tyne Cot at Passchendaele. From here it is ideal to visit Zonnebeke with the Memorial Museum of Ypres and Flanders Fields Museum, the marketplace and the Menen Gate. The war cemeteries in Passchendaele and Langemark are really impressive to see. Roeselare is nearby (7 km only) with Rodenbach Brewery and Castle Rumbeke if only some of the sights. You'd walk along panoramic views? Dan Hill 62 is definitely recommended!
