About us & what makes our company special
Hello, we’re Chantal & Peter, and we look forward to welcoming you personally to Skindles Guesthouse.
We are passionate hosts and true life-lovers — you’ll often find us enjoying a motorcycle ride through the Westhoek or philosophising over a good glass of wine. That same love for life is what we pour into our accommodations.
Our company has grown organically over the years and today we manage several carefully curated properties, each with its own soul and story. What they all share is a warm, personal approach, a sense of space and the feeling of being genuinely welcome.
Skindles Guesthouse is more than just a place to stay. Guests can book individual suites, but the property can also be rented in its entirety. Thanks to its authentic historic ballroom and large garden, it is frequently chosen as a wedding and event venue, with space for ceremonies, receptions and unforgettable celebrations.
For those seeking complete peace and relaxation, we also welcome guests to our countryside holiday homes near Poperinge: Maison Marie and Chalet Marie, together with the cosy Café Marie. These two hidden gems offer sauna, jacuzzi and a swimming pool (summer) and can be rented separately or together — perfect for families or groups of up to 16 guests.

Welcome to Skindles Guesthouse Poperinge — a place with soul, space and story.
Skindles Guesthouse offers stylish suites for couples, duplex rooms and family suites (up to 6 guests), all housed in an authentic 300-year-old mansion where history is still palpable in every detail. Many of our suites feature a private kitchenette (fridge, microwave, tableware and coffee machine), making your stay comfortable and flexible.
Instead of a classic hotel setup, we welcome you into an “open house” concept.
