Company info

Five years ago, we made a conscious choice to farm differently. Where these seven hectares used to be mainly conventional arable land, today we are building step by step toward an agricultural system where nature and food production reinforce one another. To achieve this, we draw inspiration from syntropic agriculture: a method of cultivation that works with nature instead of against it. By combining many different crops, trees, and plants, we are rebuilding a healthy, living soil with greater biodiversity. In doing so, we create not only a resilient landscape but also flavorful vegetables grown with respect for the environment. Our Market Garden forms the beating heart of the Strackxhoeve. The vegetables grown here find their way to our farm shop, the Neighbourhood Kitchen, and the Field Dinners. The summer bar and the four accommodations offer the perfect opportunity to take a real deep dive into life on a vegetable farm. Throughout the summer, there are also numerous activities focused on making an active contribution as a volunteer, interactive guided tours, and workshops. Keep a close eye on our socials!

Property info

The Strackxhoeve is more than just a place to spend the night. It is an active farm in the Merode valley, where the rhythm of the seasons shapes daily life and where peace, nature, and agricultural restoration go hand in hand. Here, you get the chance to step away from the daily hustle and bustle and reconnect with simplicity: the open space, the greenery, the fresh outdoor air, and the connection with the land.We believe that a farm stay brings something truly special. It invites you to slow down, enjoy things more mindfully, and reflect on where our food comes from. Whether you are coming to completely unwind, explore the surroundings, or spend quality time together, we hope you will feel right at home here. From May to September, our farmers collaborate with chefs who love nothing more than incorporating our organically grown, seasonal vegetables into a tailored menu. Take a look at our website and choose what suits you best. Will you book yourself and your group a spot at our experiential monthly field dinners, featuring a four-course menu and matching drinks? Or would you prefer to grab a plate and join in at your own pace during our weekly neighbourhood kitchen on Saturdays? See what aligns with your plans, and who knows, our tiny house 'Knalselder' might still be available for you! This truck is tucked away in the pasture among the tall green manure grasses and can sleep 2 people.
