Five years ago, we made a conscious choice to farm differently. Where these seven hectares used to be mainly conventional arable land, today we are building step by step toward an agricultural system where nature and food production reinforce one another. To achieve this, we draw inspiration from syntropic agriculture: a method of cultivation that works with nature instead of against it. By combining many different crops, trees, and plants, we are rebuilding a healthy, living soil with greater biodiversity. In doing so, we create not only a resilient landscape but also flavorful vegetables grown with respect for the environment.
Our Market Garden forms the beating heart of the Strackxhoeve. The vegetables grown here find their way to our farm shop, the Neighbourhood Kitchen, and the Field Dinners. The summer bar and the four accommodations offer the perfect opportunity to take a real deep dive into life on a vegetable farm.
Throughout the summer, there are also numerous activities focused on making an active contribution as a volunteer, interactive guided tours, and workshops. Keep a close eye on our socials!
