Kunyit 7 Lodge is located at Jetty 2, Kampong Bakut Berumput. We are a home built on stilts and in the heritage site of the Water Village or Kampong Ayer. Its 28 secs boat ride from the waterfront jetty or the mainland to our place. We are a typical Malay home in a village, sharing experience. Our family in house too We do not have 5 star facilities but we have 3 loving residents cats in house. Please take extra care when you are going up and down the steps of the waterfront or any jetty as it can be very slippery. Proper footwear like rubber or sport shoes is recommended or shoes with rubber grips. It is advisable that you do not carry heavy luggage bags as it could be a challenge for you to carry them when the tide is low and when the steps are slippery. Our home is built on this site which belongs to the family since 1926. The current house is 40 years old. We have been open to visitors since 2015 and have closed to 1400 visitors from 60 countries. Be advised that we are a home / Lodge and NOT a hotel. We reside here too. as this is our family home, our things are also in the house. We don't have a TV but you will definitely have a strong bonding time while you are here. You can check us on our Fb n IG page Kunyit 7 Lodge. Payment is cash upon check in Brunei or Singapore dollars only . No credit card. Part of the rate will us to sustain our home for maintenance.
A women entrepreneur who enjoys painting. I paint most of the times in the sitting room, so my paints are around the house. A certified freelance guide in the water village. Has been in hospitality service for 30 years. Loves to trek and sail. Love the great outdoor.
We are a jetty away from Water Village cultural and museum gallery. As you sipped your morning coffee, watch the students go and parents go to work, Watch the fishing boats return from sea and the villagers fishing from the boardwalk. There are 36 km of boardwalks and 32 villages and a population of 12k in the water village. immersed in the sunset as the evening call of prayers as you sit at our pantaran. There are schools, clinics, fire department, police station n etc here.
