I am Alexandre. I don't live at the island. Tatiane is the one that lives there, she's the one responsible for guests reception. All guests are received at landing in Abraão's pier by Tatiane. She will take you from the pier to Condomínio Aldeia at your arrival. This way searching for Aldeia becomes unnecessary and you save your time. During the stay guests have constant support and can count with her personal support so all needs can be handled the best way possible. Information about the island such as boat trips and hikes, transportation out of the island, every other information and any help is given as quicly as possible.

Aldeia is a small condominium located 10 minutes from the beach (2 minutes uphill), close to the jungle, away from the hustle of the center part, in a usually quiet spot. It is the best option for those who wants to sleep with the sound of crickets! There are 5 houses: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, that share a large garden with trees, bromeliads, orchids, a refreshing shower and mountain views. Aldeia is at Rua Francino Inácio do Nascimento (or Cemetery Street), about 450 meters (or 10 minutes' walk) away from the pier and the town center. Within these 10 min., 2 or 3 min. are uphill. The nearest beach is about 15 min. from the condominium. Markets, restaurants, pharmacy, bakery and tour agencies are only 10 min. from the condominium. We ask to all the guests to try to keep the silence and tranquility of the place, especially at night after the garden lights are turned off. Guests are not allowed to receive visits without the prior permission of the host. This visits cannot overnight stay. It may eventually lack electricity and /or internet in Ilha Grande. There is no power generator in the condo. There are no ATMs and no banks at Ilha Grande, but all shops accept credit cards.

Ilha Grande is a special place. Pure waters and air, peacefulness, quietness, tranquility and safety. Rare things these days around the world can still be found here. All this in a stunning and beautiful scenario formed between mountains and ocean. The high level of environmental conservation of beaches, rivers and forests, along with car ban, makes the main reason for the beauty of the place, things so important to life yet so difficult to be found out there. More than 200 bird species, 60 mammals species, along them monkeys and squirrels, and around 100 species of butterflies decorates the Atlantic forest in Ilha Grande, that besides been almost over in the main land, is still well preserved and protected here. Bromeliads, orchids, and a enormous diversity amount of trees and other plants, in a equally diverse environment like shore woods, mangrove and restinga that covers 100% of the area. Ilha Grande charms not only for it's natural beauties. It has a rich history represented by archaeological sites with human remains from 3 thousand years ago, and historical buildings like farm ruins from the 18th century and prisions from 19th and 20th century.
