Casa da Farofa is a private company managed by the owner Ronnie along with the house icon Farofa (the resident dog) and Aipim the resident cat.

Casa da Farofa is a 10-15 minute walk away from the main village & beach but is worth the walk. Guests enjoy the quietness and serenity of being next to a protected nature reserve and taking a break from the bustle and noise of the main tourist areas. The apartments are fully equipped for any length of stay and all have access to the pool area. Each apartment has a separate bedroom with a double bed & smart TV, bathroom with shower, living room with Smart TV, double sofa-bed & dining table, and fully equipped kitchen & external table. The resident pets, Farofa & Aipim (the iconic dog and cat) are always lazing around or curiously looking to guests for a pat or photo-opportunity. The entire property is smoke-free and promotes a tranquil environment in order to respect all guests. The air conditioning is not included free of charge and is on a meter that will measure the kwH used during your stay. Unfortunately while most people are respectful of their usage, some people leave the air switched on while they go to restaurants or to the beach. Therefore I offer a lower daily rate with the air conditioning charged separately meaning that not everybody is subsidising the few. For most people this is about BR5 per night (8 hrs per night).

The house is situated on Rua do Campinho, in an area called Lagoa. It is a 10 minute walk from the main village & 15 minutes from the main beaches. The area is on the edge of protected nature reserve set amongst the trees of the island forest. Morro de São Paulo is considered safe and is possible to walk at any time of the day or night.
