We live in Victoria, BC and enjoy the outdoors, walking, hiking and biking. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing our little piece of paradise in Port Renfrew. We have fallen in love with Port Renfrew and its' rugged West Coast feel. We hope that you will fall in love with it too. We bought our cottage 3 years ago and then started Port Renfrew Vacation Rentals 1 year ago, now managing 6 other properties. To quote one owners: This is the reason we chose this beautiful spot! The attractions are endless with Port Renfrew being the ultimate nature's playground.

Property info

Located 100 feet above sea level and perched on the cliff side. Our cottages offer fantastic vistas and breathtaking views overlooking the Bay of Port San Juan. Here on the west coast expect to find rain forest hiking, lakes, rivers and the ocean for kayaking and fishing. Stroll the sandy beach of the Bay of Port San Juan or take the short hike through rain forest to the famous Botanical Beach. Other attractions include Fairy Lake, Lizard Lake, the West Coast Trail, Sombrio Beach and Avatar Grove, just to name a few. Activities include surfing, kite boarding, paddle boarding, hiking and many more. Whale watching and wild life tours are also available in high season. A short 5 minute walk from the cottage will get you to the Pacific Gateway Marina and Tomi's restaurant. There is also a sandy beach just 5 minutes away along the lower road to the right of the Marina. The world famous Port Renfrew Pub and Coastal Kitchen (open in high season) are just another five minute walk away on Parkinson Road. Tomi's cafe is at the foot of Baird Road and offers take out breakfast and lunches and is open year round.

Neighborhood info

Enjoy world renowned fishing with a fishing charter at the marina steps away from the cottage. Numerous breathtaking beaches are 5-20 minutes away including Botanical Beach and Sombrio. Enjoy nature walks or hiking including the WEST COAST TRAIL, and Avatar Grove with Canada's gnarliest tree and old growth forests. Visit local attractions such as Fairy Lake with a roughly 40 year old bonsai style Douglas Fir tree and enjoy swimming, paddle boarding and/or kayaking. There limited selection of groceries including beer, wine and spirits can be purchased at the Port Renfrew General Store (open from 9am-7pm every day). Gas, diesel and propane are available at the new gas station. There are a few cafes and bistros available just minutes away from the cottage. There are tennis courts and a small children's playground in the residential area just a 5-10 minute walk away. Debit and credit cards are accepted at all major establishments.
