Highland Wilderness Tours opened in 1999, and Matt and Penny have since developed the property as a lifestyle business offering cabin rentals and winter-guided snowmobile tours, with cross country and snowshoeing trails in winter. There's a nursery and greenhouse on site. Your hosts are always nearby but very hands-off so that you can feel like you're at home. Please refer to the information below instead of Booking's description above as their auto description generator does not accurately depict the rental.

Private, OFF-GRID cabins near Algonquin Park with vehicle access, just minutes from three quiet beaches and endless wilderness activities. Cabins includes solar lighting, loft with two single mattresses, fold-out couch, fire pit, BBQ with propane, outdoor privy, shower bag, deck, picnic table, and parking. Bedding, kitchenware, food cooler not included. NO hydro. This cabin is NOT HEATED but firewood is available on-site. Inquire about our other, heated cabins in the off season. Pet-friendly and perfect for nature lovers who want a peaceful, comfortable camping escape. New for 2026! A campground shower house for guests with plenty of room and a hot showers to freshen up. Three hours from Toronto or Ottawa where you can enjoy plenty of outdoor adventure, local charm, and even a visit to Al Capone’s old cabin.
