Excellent service from a the kindest hostess! Attention to detail was evident. Breakfast was over-the-top: stuffed crossaints, scrambled eggs, tomato, fresh fruit and yogurt with an edible flower. Plus, the silver-plated coffee service was a WOW!...

The old English building was classic and great as a BnB. The rooms were comfortable and the modern bathrooms were great. The heated pool in the patio/garden area was very nice. Maria was amazing, as a host, cook, info person and conversationalist.

The Historic Wilson-Guy House is a classical five bay Georgian style house aged over 200 years. It is a historical property, listed in the Canadian heritage and one of the first homes to be re-built after the war of 1812. The Wilson House was build circa 1816 by John Wilson, a merchant and the keeper of a local hotel where the newly formed Law Society of Upper Canada first met. The house still has many original features - the six-panel front door with coloured glass transom overhead, three wood burning fireplaces, the pine wood flooring, chair-rail and skirting, the rich mahogany stair-rail, the exterior wood, the handsome 12 over 12 sash windows and most of the glass. The house is furnished with period furniture and has a lovely built-in corner cabinets and a red period wallpaper in the dining room. The property is licensed by the Town of Niagara on the lake, license No. 050-2024. Please note, the Shaw Festival has started rebuilding the Royal George Theatre, which is in proximity to our location. There might be some noise from the construction during workweek hours.
We are an artistic and friendly couple who loves to meet and welcome people from around the world. We are dedicated to making your stay with us memorable, romantic and special, catering to all your needs. In the morning you will experience a coffee/tea service on a silver platter delivered to your room followed by a 2 coarse delicious home cooked gourmet breakfast beautifully served in English china, silver flatware and crystal glasses. Making you feel the magic of your special stay is our privilege!
Niagara-on-the-lake, often called the 'Prettiest Town' in Canada, was once the first capital of Upper Canada (now the province of Ontario) and is one of the historic places to visit in Canada. It is also the home of the famous Shaw theatre festival and visited by many theatre lovers. In the recent years, the historic town has become one of the favourite areas for fine dining, wining and shopping. Currently the area has over 35 wineries and estates.
