Stoneburg Cove Cottages has been brought into the 21st century by us, the Wiehr family, Steffen, Ricky, Shane, our sister Ines, and her daughter Sarah. For thirty years we had wanted to escape to the country, and after careful consideration, we chose the Prince Edward County area. We were familiar with the PEC, as our parents had been living here for 20 years. When we came across Stoneburg Cove in 2014, we loved the history of families returning for generations, making memories. Some of them had been returning since 1950. We wanted to offer a place for families, by our family, with a modern twist One problem, it had been neglected for decades and was a shell of its former self. After consulting with our loyal guests, we set off on our renovation adventure. We went back to the roots of the property, where families came to relax, reconnect, and revel in the sunshine while savoring the cottage experience. Today, our renovation project continues, while all of the cottages are newly renovated to the highest standards in the area, every year we offer more experiences and more fun for your family.

Hear the sounds of loons calling, fish slashing, and wind in the trees. Feel the waves lapping at your feet as you lay on the endless beach. Taste the award-winning wine swirling in your mouth; the delectable, crumbly artisan cheese on your palate. Go: swimming in our large pool, canoeing, or kayaking, sunbathing, fishing, boating; play: volleyball, badminton, basketball, or whatever your heart desires, right from our property. At night you can see the Milky Way, hear the distant coyotes howling, or count the infinite stars. We offer the choice of size, amenities, and price, to suit the needs of every guest. Stay in one of our eco-friendly, fully remodeled, large, lake view cottages, with a kitchen, private bedrooms, four-piece bathroom, and heating/air conditioning. Or one of our budget-friendly, vintage cottages, of various sizes, three- or six bedrooms, with new beds, and heating/air conditioning. All with a beautiful view to Weller’s Bay from the front door, BBQ, picnic bench with umbrella.

Neighborhood info

Close to Stoneburg Cove you will find a boat access only beach, North Beach, Presqu'ile Provincial Park, and Sandbanks Provincial Park. Next door there is a convenience store, we are near to the wineries, Apple Trail, Taste Trail, Art Trail, shopping and restaurants. At the same time, we are "away from it all", with the sounds of loons, distant coyotes, at night to lull you to sleep, while you bathe in the light of the Milky Way.
