Clara is a singer song-writer, and author originally from Cappahayden Southern Shore. An o'l soul who loves company , meeting new folks from all around the world. Always time for a cup of tea in a rocking chair, one of 2 in the home. And if you are here on a Saturday morning, you might just hear Irish music on the radio.

The house became the Sister's of Mercy home in 1949 until 2024 at which time it was bought by the current owners. A mature, treed half acre lot with various shrubs and flowers throughout the season.You are always welcome to sit back and enjoy one of the many seating areas on the property. Take a short walk down the road for an ice cream , play ball, or swing on a swing, besides a little jaunt up the road for some music at Shamrock city , Bidgoods grocery for some souvenirs and good old newfoundland foods. A bank as well as a drug store are available in the same location. Tripp Inn is just 12 min away from scenic Petty Harbour, as well as Cape Spear just 10 minutes from there.

Lots to do and places to go in Goulds, which is the begining of the Irish Loop; also close to the East Coast Trail -Petty Harbour and Cape Spear. Enjoy some local restaurants, featuring local Newfoundland cod (fish and chips, fish n' brewis, and fish cakes for example), coffee and sandwhich shops. There is a mini Aquarium, farm and petting zoo close by.
