We are excited to host our lovely clients . We are so lucky to have such wonderful and appreciative guests, visiting us making the experience of being hosts so enjoyable. Our system might seem a little different, because we do not greet you at Valhalla . When you arrive you call us for the hallway phone to check in. We (The staff) are at the Norseman Restaurant in L'Anse aux Meadows and we are at your beak and call, but we do not come to the Valhalla. There is a nice sitting room in the back ; with books on Newfoundland and the Vikings, view of the ocean and a table when you can work on your laptop computers. Feel free to use the fridge to put your cold stuff in. The space is for you wonderful guests and we are not in your way but please call us if you have questions. Edna will come in at 7:30 to start preparing breakfast for you for 8 am. and if you haven't paid already you can pay her with credit card or cash. When you come dine at the Norseman ask for Gina or Adrian that's us , the owners. We love to meet our lovely guests.

Hi There , Welcome to Valhalla guest rooms and Annie Retreat Vacation Rentals in Gunners Cove. Annie Proulx wrote to “The Shipping News” here . She once owned the Quoyles and Waveys houses! We are located overlooking the ocean on route 436, 21 km from route 430. We are the first building in the village of Gunners Cove, just 7kms before from L'Anse aux Meadows on route 436. A continental breakfast is served starting at 8am at the B&B for the guest rooms without a kitchen ! Try the Norseman restaurant in L’Anse Aux Meadows, It is rated as one of the best in Newfoundland and they focus on organic, fresh and local foods. They do have a vegetarian menu or gluten-free options. L’Anse aux Meadows is 8 km further on route 436 (at the end of route) from the Valhalla. Kindest Regards, Gina
