Our family has been a big part of the community for 150 years, as wooden schooner shipbuilders, merchants, and proprietors of Cardigan Lobster Suppers and seafood restaurant, which also houses an interesting display of Cardigan's history.

Waterside Apts. are located only 25ft from a small private shallow salt water beach down a tree lined lane,featuring private decks with bbq's, enjoy fabulous sunsets over the marina. Large two story, three bedroom fully equipped apts. Playgrounds, tennis, friendly fishing village. Free cocktails on arrival in our 1888 pub. Free bikes, free parking, in a natural setting, close to bicycling and walking trails. Short drive to PEI"s best golfing, and PEI"s best warm water beaches. Located in very scenic and quiet Eastern PEI. Satellite T.V. , WIFI, dvd"s, and Canada"s smallest library ( 2000 ) books. Walking distance to restaurants, lobster suppers, and pubs.

Cardigan is an unique little village with a fascinating history, much of which is on display at the Cardigan Heritage Center and ship building museum . ( no charge ). Home to Canada's smallest library. One of the most scenic communities on PEI, located on the shores of the Cardigan River. With it's own fishing fleet, marina, and great sunsets most evenings. All amenities are within walking distance, stores, post office, restaurants, liquor store, playgrounds, tennis, churches, walking/bicycling trails, and fish hatchery. Lovely, quiet, non rushed community on the water.
