The Sweet Spot, surrounded by trails and wetlands and within walking distance of the Whitehorse airport is not tiny but it is small. The cabin can accommodate a maximum of 4 quiet and easy going guests. It is better suited for one or two. Both loft sleeping areas are accessed by very steep ladders. Guests who are uncomfortable climbing can be accommodated on a large, comfortable couch in the main area. The guest house is nestled into a very private back yard and is equipped with its own deck and BBQ. Outdoor spaces are shared with the host and there is plenty of room to air out camping gear and pack for your next adventure. Canoes and kayaks can be stored on site.
I have been hosting since 2020 and absolutely love meeting my guests and providing a special, Yukon welcome. My house is next door and I am prone to showing up with baked good and tips for local entertainment and adventure. I am happiest when guests join me around the firepit to share a story or two, but I make sure all my guests have as much privacy as they desire.
The Sweet Spot is located on a green belt and is a stone's throw from a skating rink, two playgrounds, an incredible tobogganing hill and a wetland. The neighbours are friendly and will want to say hello. We are walking distance from the airport and a half hour walk along a trail system to downtown. The Beringia Centre and Transportation Museums are also within walking distance. Hillcrest is within easy driving distance of everything.
